When you book a stay at Dancing Feather, you are helping to subsidize our alternative artist residency.
This offers time and space to BIPOC artists for composing, convening, communing, writing, resting, rejuvenating, and any other necessary activities that can be accomplished without a formal studio space.
Why Dancing Feather? We are located on Swinging Bridge Reservoir, named for the wooden bridge that used to cross the Mongaup River, a tributary of the Delaware River that was damned to create this lake. Mongaup, in some native languages, means dancing feather. This is our nod to the original stewards of this land.

Winter or summer, you will be able to relax and unwind in nature, nestled between the trees and the lake.
Become an artist-in-residence
We offer no-cost 3-5 day residencies to BIPOC creators. To nominate yourself or someone else for residency, please contact us.
Support a Residency
A contribution of $300 will fully sponsor the residency of one artist or collective. This covers our cleaning costs, paid directly to our wonderful house cleaner Karen, and a transportation/food stipend for artists.
